Making the personal mechanical.

I'm finding myself defending opinions where I try to explain why objecting to the #fraud era is as much a waste of time as welcoming it. It's tiresome.

I started putting this at the bottom of essays in 2016. As a joke.
- "nb: this is a ‘personal’ opinion. I wrote it on a computer, using machine-assisted auto-correct. All the characters were typed by me. In this sequence. " - I stopped by 2018 because no one got the joke.

Now I'm finding myself defending opinions where I try to explain why objecting to the #fraud era is as much a waste of time as welcoming it. We could, like, DO something about it. We could pro-actively label all "generative content".
And we should certain celebrate generated or 'fake' content within it's own distinct category of artifice [yes, everything is artifice, I am aware...].

But perhaps especially when it is for a good cause. Looking at you Orange.

Rather than making an ad about how good women are at football, they made an ad about how good they are at making fake content. And everyone loves it. Because.. it's for a good cause? Well that's terrific, but you're literally killing your own industry. When no one is willing to #trust any source that is not immediate and known to us where are you? So why celebrate work that accelerates that change?
Be the change you want to see - don't let #fake media get out the door.
